El dise\u00f1o de la Silla Shell fue concebido en 1948 por Hans J. Wegner, figura legendaria del modernismo dan\u00e9s y famoso dise\u00f1ador de muebles, que sent\u00eda una gran pasi\u00f3n por las sillas; de ah\u00ed su apodo de “el Maestro de la Silla”.<\/p>\n

En 1963 fue presentada en la Exposici\u00f3n de Oto\u00f1o de Ebanistas en Dinamarca, pero su dise\u00f1o vanguardista no era apto para el momento. No fue hasta 1988, cuando Carl Hansen & S\u00f6n decidieron devolverle la vida, convirti\u00e9ndose en un \u00edcono del dise\u00f1o dan\u00e9s.<\/p>\n
